The C.A.R.E. Group had another incredible experience visiting the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital and dropping off donations for the children's playroom, including art supplies, coloring books, toys, and other engaging activities for the kids to have during their stay at the hospital.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the amazing nurses, and they invited us inside the hospital for a tour of their playroom. Walking through the halls, it was truly touching to see the care that the hospital puts into their work and into making the kids really feel comfortable in what can be seen as such a scary place. On top of countless toys to play with, they made sure to include educational aspects that are targeted to foster creativity and understanding. We also met with one of the head nurses who spoke to us about the importance of creating such a memorable environment for the kids who stay at the hospital, no matter how long.

Additionally, two of the nurses brought us to see their teen room, something they are still currently working on, to provide a more welcoming and fun stay for their slightly older patients. In this, they incorporated all sorts of interactive activities, such as music, reading, painting, and more. We also discussed the usage of one of the C.A.R.E group’s volunteer opportunities, creating felt blankets, as another way to support the hospital.

Once again, we want to thank everyone involved, the hospital staff, kids, and all the dedicated members, for making this visit possible. We hope to continue inspiring and making a difference one step at a time.
