Woods Community Bake Sale

To kick off the summer, the C.A.R.E. Group worked hard to plan another bake sale to continue fundraising for our cause and future projects. This time, members prepared homemade brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and cupcakes, and we received some donations of prepared baked goods, including cannoli and chocolate cupcakes, Independence Day themed sugar cookies, and corn and blueberry muffins. We sold at The Woods Park located in a local neighborhood, and many friends and park visitors gathered around to buy a few sweet treats. Even those who didn’t have any money or didn’t want anything came to support by spreading the word or donating a few dollars. Members who attended the sale worked together to sell as much as they could by sending some people to go door-to-door while having others remain at the selling table, all while having a fun time! We ended up successfully raising $126, and we hope to have a couple more bake sales this summer.
